Michelle Hickey joined the firm in 2010 and is Of Counsel in the firm’s real estate department with an emphasis on land use and environmental matters.
Ms. Hickey has spent more than 20 years handling complex land use and environmental litigation, transaction and compliance matters. Her clients include real estate developers, municipalities, financial institutions, energy and retail companies and Indian tribes. She has developed strategies to insure that projects obtain the needed entitlement, environmental review and permitting approvals. She is also skilled in leading the public relations component of getting controversial projects approved. Such projects include commercial and retail operations, hotels and resorts, casinos, Brownfield projects, housing developments, manufacturing facilities and major infrastructure improvements. Hickey also represents clients in both state and federal courts and in front of local, state and federal governmental agencies on land use and environmental litigation and permitting matters.
