Aimee Contreras Joins the Firm as a Partner

Aimee M. Contreras-Camua has joined the firm as a new lateral partner, where she will focus on Pircher’s expanding institutional lending practice. Prior to joining Pircher, Ms. Contreras-Camua was a partner in Sidley Austin LLP’s (Sidley) Los Angeles office for nearly 11 years, where she represented a wide range of clients including institutional lenders, real estate funds, opportunity funds, investment banks, life insurance companies, major residential developers and other real estate investors.

“We are delighted to welcome Aimee to our growing team,” said Alex Jacobs, partner at Pircher and member of the firm’s Executive Committee. “Her extensive experience makes Aimee a clear fit for our boutique approach and real estate-only focus, which involves advising sophisticated real estate investors on complex real estate finance transactions throughout the country. We’re confident that Aimee will excel in this environment and contribute significantly to our continued goal of providing superior services for the firm’s clients.”

Ms. Contreras-Camua launched her legal career in Sidley’s real estate practice more than 20 years ago and has continued to provide counseling related to a variety of assets, from full-service resorts to industrial facilities, office buildings, retail developments, multifamily properties and other mixed-use projects ever since. She is well-versed in providing sophisticated solutions for clients across a broad range of transaction types, including mortgage and mezzanine financing, acquisitions and dispositions of single assets, equity interests and portfolio transactions, mortgage origination for commercial mortgage-backed securitization programs, sale-leasebacks, joint ventures and leasing.

Contreras-Camua has served as a board member of the California Bar Foundation (now California ChangeLawyers) and on the Board of Governors for the Asian Pacific American Women Lawyers Alliance in addition to the Executive Advisory Council for Asian Americans Advancing Justice Los Angeles. She is a Co-Chair of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association Real Property Committee, and a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) Real Property Section, the Philippine American Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
