Aimee Contreras-Camua Honored with Philippine American Bar Association’s 2019 Trailblazer Award
Pircher partner, Aimee Contreras-Camua, recently received the 2019 Trailblazer Award from the Philippine American Bar Association (PABA). She was presented with the honor at PABA’s 33rd Annual Installation & Awards Gala on May 8, 2019, at the Millennium Biltmore in Los Angeles.
The Trailblazer Award is given annually by PABA to an individual who not only has built a successful legal career, but also displays a commitment to fostering diversity, elevating the legal profession and supporting the next generation of lawyers. The 2019 award was bestowed on Contreras-Camua for her professional achievements in addition to her involvement in the industry through a number of its trade organizations, many of which support Asian Americans in law.
Based in Southern California, PABA is the largest local association of Filipino-American lawyers in the U.S. and comprises attorneys, judges and law students who seek to address the legal issues confronting the Filipino-American community and to meet the professional concerns of Filipino-American lawyers. Contreras-Camua currently serves as a board member of the PABA Foundation, which aims to encourage, support and foster the education and careers of Filipino-Americans in the legal profession and to promote and sponsor legal scholarship and public interest activities that will directly benefit the Filipino-American community in Southern California.
